Position Overview:
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering the prescribed course of radiation treatment for patients across all age groups. This includes tasks related to simulation, mold room operations, treatment delivery, quality control, dosimetry, and providing nursing support as directed by the Radiation Oncologist, in compliance with departmental, hospital, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation therapy accurately as per the treatment plan.
- Conduct thorough assessments, demonstrating care and sound judgment in all professional decisions.
- Ensure patient welfare is prioritized in all actions and decisions.
Qualifications Required:
Educational Background:
Completion of an accredited educational program in radiation therapy or a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required upon hiring, along with either California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification or California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification.
