Oncology Call Center RN Job Summary

At Tampa General Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Oncology Call Center RN to provide exceptional patient care and support services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for triaging oncology patient calls, providing clinical direction, and assisting with scheduling appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage oncology patient calls regarding treatment, surgery, and appointment information
  • Provide patient education and clinical direction on chemotherapy, radiation, infusion treatments, and surgery
  • Assist with scheduling all appointments
  • Plan and document nursing assessments, identify and report situations requiring further intervention, and formulate and communicate goal-directed plans of care
  • Ensure patient rights are respected and maintained
Qualifications:
  • FL RN License
  • BSN Required
  • 2 years minimum experience as an RN
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Oncology Nursing Certification preferred
  • Good communication and computer skills
  • Ability to communicate with physicians
