Job Overview

This role requires a mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled electrical/electronic equipment installation and repair tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and Deliver Parts: Procure and deliver necessary parts and materials to support electrical equipment installation and repair.
  • Fire Watch and Safety: Serve as fire watch during hot work operations and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Security: Secure construction equipment and tools to prevent loss or damage.
  • Construction Support: Assist with construction projects and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Housekeeping and Painting: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including painting and general housekeeping duties.
  • Skilled Trades Support: Assist skilled tradesmen with electrical equipment installation and repair tasks.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment.
Requirements
  • Results-Driven Individual: Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance manufacturing environment.
  • Basic Reading and Writing Skills: Possess basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer functions.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to communicate and cooperate with other associates to achieve common goals.
  • Metric and Standard Measuring Systems: Understand metric and standard measuring systems.
  • VOM and Megger Operation: Utilize a VOM and Megger to perform electrical testing and measurement tasks.
  • Basic Mechanical Aptitude: Possess basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Forklift and Manlift Operation: Safely operate forklifts and manlifts to move equipment and materials.
  • Lockout Procedures: Locate and utilize lockout points for all machinery to ensure safe operation.
  • Microsoft Applications: Operate Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PP, DataStream, and MP7i.
  • MSDS Understanding: Possess basic understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Service Manuals: Understand technical service manuals and drawings.
  • Plant PID Prints: Read plant process and instrumentation diagrams (PID) prints.
  • MIG/TIG and Stick Welding: Experience with MIG/TIG and stick welding (carbon and stainless steel).
  • Industrial Electrical Knowledge: Industrial electrical knowledge up to 480V 3 Phase.
Experience
  • Manufacturing Background: Manufacturing background preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting and Mobility: Must be able to lift light loads and physically traverse throughout the multi-level facility. Must possess sufficient motor skills to operate and utilize a forklift.
