- Provide crisis intervention and developmental counseling as needed, collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators.
- Conduct home visits to strengthen communication between families and the school.
- Create intervention plans for students facing challenges such as abuse, substance use, or academic difficulties.
- Offer guidance on post-secondary options, including employment and higher education pathways.
- Facilitate small group counseling sessions for students with shared concerns.
- Serve as a resource for educators regarding student behavior and emotional well-being.
- Prepare comprehensive developmental histories for students with disabilities.
- Assist in formulating positive behavioral strategies.
- Provide individual and family counseling to address specific student needs.
- Refer students to external agencies for additional support when necessary.
Additional Duties:

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and meet the licensure requirements set forth by the Professional Teachers Standards Board. Knowledge of special education laws and counseling techniques is essential.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
The role requires the ability to engage in prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting, as well as the capacity to lift and carry items as needed. The position involves working primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor responsibilities in varying weather conditions.
