Nexamp is seeking a seasoned Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) professional to lead our EH&S program. As a Director, EH&S, you will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategies and short-term plans for continuous improvement of the safety, health, and environmental compliance program across all aspects of the Nexamp business operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement EH&S policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide mentoring and direct management for a team of EH&S professionals.
- Ensure EH&S strategic alignment with short-term and long-term business plans.
- Investigate incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize the likelihood of repeat occurrences.
- Provide crisis management leadership and incident command leadership during times of need.
- Ensure contracted partner companies operate with the same rigor and passion for safety and environmental protection as Nexamp.
- Drive the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) policy in the organization.
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of experience in occupational safety leadership, including 3+ years of construction safety leadership.
- Electrical Safety experience with NFPA 70E certification.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
- Experience with implementation and management of safety management systems, e.g. ISO 45001, preferred.
- Photovoltaic and battery storage technology safety programs experience, preferred.
- Incident command system (ICS), incident commander level training and experience, preferred.
- Fleet/driver safety, preferred.
