Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking CDL Shuttle and Transport Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering production materials between plant and branch locations, utilizing a CDL required vehicle with or without trailer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe operation of an Interstate, CDL required, commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all Federal and State Regulations and Company policies.
  • Maximize productivity and minimize wear and down-time by utilizing equipment efficiently.
  • Transport product between branch and plant locations according to schedule, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Select and load appropriate product for the day, ensuring accurate loading and distribution.
  • Load and unload the vehicle safely and efficiently, maintaining proper load distribution and securement.
  • Comply with Federal Hours of Service regulations, utilizing logs and Electronic Logging Devices as required.
  • Conduct daily Pre- and Post-Trip safety inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.
  • Report unsafe conditions, accidents, roadside inspections, and incidents immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of vehicle, inside and out, to reflect UniFirst standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience for CDL required positions without Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) certificate
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license (CDL-A) required
  • Safe driving record in accordance with the Pre-employment Background Policy required
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen
  • Ability to lift up 20 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs

Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
