Shuttle Bus Operator

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Shuttle Bus Operator to join our team. As a Shuttle Bus Operator, you will be responsible for transporting passengers to and from assigned locations, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for all riders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport passengers to and from designated locations, adhering to scheduled routes and timetables.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including the use of specialized equipment for passengers with special needs.
- Help passengers with luggage as needed, providing assistance with loading and unloading.
- Inspect vehicles regularly to identify any safety concerns or maintenance issues, performing routine cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain and enforce bus evacuation procedures, coordinating evacuation activities as necessary.
- Report any incidents or claims to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
- Refuel and maintain shuttle equipment, keeping accurate fuel use logs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, disinfecting the shuttle after each use.
- Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation standards and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Six months of prior experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- This role may require a CDL with a specific class and P endorsement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of prior passenger shuttle experience preferred.
