Senior Network Security Architect Position

GCyber is seeking a highly skilled Chief Network Engineer to lead its mission-critical network infrastructure program. This individual will serve as the technical authority for all engineering, operations, and maintenance activities, ensuring seamless management of both classified and unclassified networks.
Key Responsibilities:- Network Operations Management:
- Oversee the management of approximately 15,000 IT assets, 2,000 end-users, and 400 network devices, including Cisco routers, switches, F5 load balancers, RSA authentication managers, and encryption devices.
- Analyze traffic using SPAN/RSPAN, Wireshark, and on-device capturing tools, presenting findings to teammates and customers.
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex issues, coordinating Tier IV support for high-impact incidents requiring advanced troubleshooting skills and technical expertise.
- Regularly assess network health, optimize device configurations, and apply updates to maintain optimal performance and reduce downtime across the network infrastructure.
- Network Engineering and Modernization:
- Support the development, management, and execution of the technology roadmap, focusing on initiatives that reduce technical debt and improve service to the user community.
- Serve as the lead engineer for the design, development, integration, and testing of network upgrades.
- Oversee planning and modernization activities to ensure seamless integration of new capabilities into the existing infrastructure.
- Cable Plant Infrastructure Management:
- Lead and manage the operations and maintenance of the cable infrastructure across multiple sites, including intra-facility and inter-facility cabling.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of cable management from wall plate to end-user devices, providing essential connectivity for various IT services, including Internet and Intranet access, Voice over IP (VoIP), Video Teleconference (VTC), and the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN).
- Manage the PDSW system, providing technical support for PDS device configurations and documenting findings according to national security standards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering designs, configurations, and incident reports.
- Provide regular status updates to the program manager and government stakeholders.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
