Cybersecurity Engineer Specialist

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer ll to support a contract with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, in Norfolk, VA.
About the RoleThe selected candidate will provide Independent Validation & Verification, Operations, Sustainment, and Installation support for the NIWC LANT contract. This includes manual and automation of software testing, Scrum Master, operating in the AWS Cloud, management of JIRA/JAMA/Confluence, and project support.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, implement, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policy, including Assessment and Authorization requirements.
- Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.
- Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
The ideal candidate will have three years of experience in preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy. A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering is required. Depending on PWS tasking, individual shall be certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I per DoD 8570.1M. Must hold an active Department of Defense SECRET clearance.
This role offers an estimated salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 based on location and industry standards. Located on-site in Chesapeake, VA. We are committed to proven, repeatable corporate quality management processes and are certified CMMI Maturity Level III - Services & ISO 9001:2015.
