Job Summary

Hand in Hand Medical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our team. As an STNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with Daily Living Activities: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding, promoting their independence and dignity.
  2. Medical Support: Assist nursing staff with medical equipment, checking patient vitals, and providing basic care services.
  3. Emotional Support: Provide residents with important social and emotional support, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  4. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Prepare and maintain accurate records of resident progress and services performed, reporting changes in resident condition to the manager or supervisor.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Participate in case reviews, consulting with the care team, evaluating resident needs, and planning for continuing services.
Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered state certification to practice as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
  • Minimum one (3) year of STNA experience required, based on state requirement
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing resident services
  • Ability to compose and maintain documentation
  • Current CPR certification, based on state requirements
  • Copy of updated physical, based on state requirements
  • Copy of updated TB results/chest x-ray
  • Must complete a minimum of twelve (12) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually
