Job Summary

Dynamis, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Management Specialist to support the design, development, conduct, and evaluation of discussion- and operations-based exercises for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Exercises Infrastructure Security & Exercise Branch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and maintain relationships between contractor staff, CISA, and stakeholders to support exercise planning and reporting
  • Apply knowledge of emergency management preparedness programs and principles to support exercise design and development
  • Write and edit reports, briefing materials, PowerPoint presentations, and other working documents
  • Assist in the evaluation of exercise effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Represent Dynamis, Inc. in meetings with clients to resolve complex issues and plan and coordinate work
Requirements:
  • 0-4 years of experience in emergency management and/or exercises, demonstrating:
    • Familiarity with all-hazards emergency management
    • Understanding of HSEEP and/or HSEEP certification (preferred)
    • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
    • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to complete high-quality, detail-oriented deliverables amid competing deadlines
  • Ability to review working documents to determine relevancy and make recommendations/edits
  • Ability to exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and tact in obtaining and analyzing information related to projects
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CISA suitability
  • BA or BS degree
  • U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of FEMA's National Incident Management System (NIMS), the Incident Command System (ICS), Presidential Policy Directive 8 (PPD-8), the National Response Framework (NRF), the National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF), and other relevant federal policies and/or documents
  • Experience as an analyst of emergency management policies, programs, and procedures supporting state or federal agencies
  • Experience with critical infrastructure owners/operators
