Job Title: Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for performing design reviews of civil/structural design components in support of substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform design reviews of civil/structural design components, including substation structures, rigid bus design, foundation design, and oil spill containment design.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in design of steel structures, concrete structures, geotechnical engineering, and foundations.
  • Collaborate with junior staff members to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to bid and proposal development, and take a responsible engineer role on main client projects.
  • Ensure quality control and safe work practices, and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil-Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MATHCAD software.
  • Experience with STAAD.Pro, RISA 3D, FAD Tools, SAFE, SAG10, and LPILE software.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
