Wellness and Recovery Specialist

The Wellness and Recovery Generalist plays a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health and wellness goals. This position involves working closely with staff and members to ensure a smooth daily operation of the clubhouse, including clerical work, outreach communications, luncheon preparation, data entry, event planning, and attending regular meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensures member engagement with all Clubhouse opportunities, including planning, coordinating, and executing daily work alongside Clubhouse members.
• Assists with internal and external employment and educational programs.
• Utilizes a strength-based approach to help members set and achieve personal, career, and wellness goals.
• Assists members in accessing needed community services and supports while encouraging member self-sufficiency.
• Fosters a recovery environment in which members feel wanted, needed, and expected.
• Staffs clubhouse social and recreational programs. Flexibility to staff rotation of holiday hours.
• Develops and maintains essential community partnerships that benefit the Clubhouse community.
• Provides leadership with members in relation to Clubhouse mission and goals.
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• AS, BA, or equivalent preferred in social work, psychology, education, occupational therapy, human services, behavioral health, or related field.
• At least one year of experience or personal knowledge of mental illness and/or other neurological conditions, and a demonstrated passion to support individuals to reach their potential and have the highest quality of life possible.
• Knowledgeable with MS Office software applications, Google Drive applications, social media platforms, and electronic medical records.
Training and Support:
• 2-Week Clubhouse Comprehensive training will be made available.
• Clubhouse Comprehensive training is a 2-week immersion program that will provide the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
