Banquet Event Setup Specialist

Wentworth by the Sea Resort and Spa is a leading destination for events and weddings, offering a unique and unforgettable experience for guests. We are seeking a skilled Banquet Event Setup Specialist to join our team and help us deliver exceptional service to our clients.
The Banquet Event Setup Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that our event spaces are ready for revenue, meeting the highest standards of quality and presentation. This will involve setting up and breaking down furniture and supplies according to specifications for each event, as well as building show-ready presentations that showcase our property's event spaces.
A successful Banquet Event Setup Specialist will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to receive and act on feedback.
Key responsibilities of the Banquet Event Setup Specialist include:
- Ensuring that event spaces are ready for revenue, meeting the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Setting up and breaking down furniture and supplies according to specifications for each event.
- Building show-ready presentations that showcase our property's event spaces.
- Assisting banquet staff with event closing and resetting of areas, including cleaning, vacuuming, and resetting chairs and tables.
- Operating within provided assignments and timelines in accordance with the order of events.
Key qualifications for the Banquet Event Setup Specialist include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to receive and act on feedback.
- Ability to adapt to a changing and high-service demand work environment.
Wentworth by the Sea Resort and Spa offers a competitive salary of $18.00 per hour, plus a range of benefits, including 401(k), dental insurance, disability insurance, employee discount, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance. Work location is in person.
