The Preservation Society of Newport County seeks a part-time Site Technician/Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and order of historic properties. This role involves ensuring the properties are presentable for public visits, with a flexible schedule up to 25 hours/week and occasional weekend days required.
Responsibilities- Follow a scheduled cleaning routine to prepare properties for public opening.
- Operate alarm systems and lights, and perform daily glass cleaning and dust removal.
- Maintain historic artifacts, clean floors, and replace light bulbs as directed.
- Collect trash, vacuum, and clean bathrooms, and sweep and remove debris from walkways and entrances.
- Monitor grounds conditions and set up/dismantle traffic ropes and signage as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with previous housekeeping experience preferred.
- Strong self-starter with ability to work independently and establish priorities.
- Good communication skills and ability to maintain flexible behavior.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Possess a driver's license with a clean record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
$16.75 per hour
