Job Title: Energy Assistance Specialist

Atmos Energy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Energy Assistance Specialist to join our team. As an Energy Assistance Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing community outreach efforts to increase access to energy assistance funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with Community Action Agencies (CAAs) to increase awareness and build relationships in the communities we serve.
  • Review and analyze internal and external data to develop and recommend process improvements.
  • Direct and assist internal and external stakeholders with the development and implementation of community outreach efforts, tracking pre and post outreach data.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and business units to ensure alignment of division operational objectives, including the development of new data to track and improve Customer Advocacy activities.
  • Direct, research, and make policy changes/recommendations for local and state low-income funding sources, maintaining and administering partner agency contracts.
  • Resolve or coordinate agency and/or customer requests and issues involving pledges, ensuring resolutions balance the needs of the customer and the community partner.
  • Consult and work directly with internal and external stakeholders to increase access to energy assistance funds, resolve concerns, and provide training.
  • Update and maintain community partner listings, including contact information, agency identification numbers, login, and passwords.
  • Identify and recommend quality improvement opportunities in the Customer Advocacy Department, preparing process revisions and technological advances as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Service, Business, Public Administration, or a related discipline and two years related experience in a community action agency, social services, and/or customer service functions.
  • Bi-lingual, Spanish language preferred but not required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with internal and/or external customers.
  • Ability to apply research methods, statistical, and/or accounting methods.
  • Advanced knowledge of various software applications to create documents, reports, and/or graphics.
Work Environment:

Works in an office environment, occasionally performing activities including bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and/or lifting. Travel required, up to 40% in and out of state.
