Job Title: Energy Performance Specialist

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled Energy Performance Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. As an Energy Performance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in analyzing data, monitoring systems, and evaluating techniques to measure energy savings and identify opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze utility data and identify trends to optimize energy consumption.
  • Perform remote analysis of building automation systems to understand their impact on energy usage.
  • Provide custom analysis for various time-series data sets, including interval utility data and building automation system trend data.
  • Evaluate project performance relative to defined goals and create reports summarizing performance for internal project teams and customers.
  • Execute measurement and verification strategies and manage deliverables for a portfolio of projects.
  • Prioritize opportunities for energy efficiency improvement within projects and across portfolios.
  • Develop building automation system review plans for new projects.
  • Provide feedback to internal energy and automation teams to facilitate quality improvements.
Requirements:
  • Four-year engineering or related degree.
  • Two-year technical degree with equivalent related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interests in energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental conservation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade internal and external customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage resource procurement and utilization.
  • Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of building systems, building management systems, and energy use.
Work Environment:

The majority of the work is sedentary, but the employee will encounter moving over rough or uneven surfaces, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy to light items. The employee will also be exposed to outside weather conditions and mechanical equipment rooms, which may consist of confined spaces and loud noises.
