Position Overview

This role requires a forward-thinking individual who is enthusiastic about advancing the Power Systems Advisory sector in North America. The successful candidate will identify market opportunities for innovation and differentiation while managing commercial projects that provide technical insights and exceptional customer service.

Work Environment

This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, allowing team members to work from various locations, including DNV offices or client sites. Specific role requirements will be discussed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct steady-state, dynamic, short-circuit, and PSCAD model development for both renewable and traditional generation resources, including solar, storage, wind, and gas turbines.
  • Execute comprehensive power flow analyses, including steady-state, dynamic stability, and short-circuit evaluations.
  • Perform due diligence for mergers and acquisitions by analyzing interconnection documents and identifying associated risks.
  • Complete interconnection applications and necessary documentation for projects across various regional transmission organizations (RTOs) and vertically integrated markets.
  • Assess transmission and interconnection tariffs, costs, timelines, and processes, providing strategic guidance to stakeholders.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in areas related to grid reliability and energy markets.
  • Participate in industry stakeholder meetings, staying informed about market developments and policy changes.
  • Contribute to research and innovation initiatives aimed at enhancing team efficiency and capabilities.
  • Develop new client relationships and assist in preparing responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for new opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
