Job Overview

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide is responsible for delivering assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling clients to maintain their independence in their own residences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicates observations regarding the client's condition to the supervising manager. Reports any incidents or accidents immediately.
  • Drives responsibly, adheres to traffic laws, and ensures safety measures are followed during travel.
  • May assist clients with daily living activities, including: bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, nail care, skin care, and transferring clients between bed, chair, and bathroom facilities.
  • Supports household tasks that are essential to the client's personal care.

Preferred Experience

  • At least six months of experience in home care is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a competency assessment.

Licensing Requirements

  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation are required.

Skills Required

  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of clients.
  • Capability to function in diverse home environments, regardless of the client's background.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
