POSITION SUMMARY

This role is crucial for the production of aluminum extruded components that align with client specifications. Responsibilities include operating cutting machinery, handling materials, managing an extrusion press, packaging products, moving dies, and engaging in 5S initiatives, among other tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties outline the key responsibilities of this position, though they are not exhaustive.
  • Prioritize safety at Alexandria Extrusion; foster and maintain a secure work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure all business system entries (production, inventory, etc.) are performed accurately and promptly.
  • Set up and operate machinery safely and effectively to optimize output while adhering to quality standards.
  • Support the organization's core values, objectives, and strategic goals.
  • Cross-train in various functions within the department to enhance versatility.
  • Review and confirm manufacturing orders to understand internal and customer specifications.
  • Conduct all operations in line with departmental performance metrics.
  • Adhere to quality assurance practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace using the 5S methodology (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order, and shine).
  • Meet production deadlines to guarantee customer satisfaction and service excellence.

  • Carry out additional related tasks (including special projects) as needed in a professional and collaborative manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience:
    • Preferred 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Basic proficiency in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to identify safety hazards.
    • Proficient in using designated inspection tools.
    • Self-motivated and proactive.
    • Basic mathematical skills.
    • Ability to interpret die drawings and assess parts and surface finishes according to specifications.
    • Effective team collaboration skills.
    • Willingness to engage in further training, such as Extrusion 101.
    • Capability to assist with preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and multitasking capabilities.
    • Ability to accurately identify materials.
