POSITION SUMMARY

This role is integral to the production of aluminum extruded shapes that adhere to client specifications. Responsibilities include operating saws, managing material flow, handling an extrusion press, packaging products, moving dies, and engaging in 5S initiatives, among other tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following tasks are crucial for this position and are not exhaustive. They emphasize the primary responsibilities expected of the individual.
  • Prioritize safety at Alexandria Extrusion; foster and uphold a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all business system transactions (production, inventory, etc.).
  • Safely and efficiently set up and operate equipment to maximize output while meeting quality standards.
  • Support the company's core values, objectives, and strategic goals.
  • Participate in cross-training across various functions within the department.
  • Review and verify manufacturing orders to confirm internal and customer specifications.
  • Conduct all operations in line with departmental key performance indicators.
  • Adhere to quality practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace utilizing the 5S methodology (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order, and shine).
  • Meet delivery timelines to ensure customer satisfaction and service excellence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience:
    • Preferred 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Basic proficiency in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to identify safety hazards.
    • Capability to use appropriate inspection tools as required.
    • Self-motivated and proactive individual.
    • Basic mathematical skills.
    • Ability to interpret die drawings and assess parts and surface finishes according to specifications.
    • Effective teamwork skills.
    • Willingness to engage in additional training, such as Extrusion 101.

    • Proficient in identifying materials accurately.
