POSITION OVERVIEW:
2nd Shift (Mon-Fri, 2:30pm-10:30pm)
This role involves the operation of CNC machinery, focusing on the efficient loading and unloading of components while ensuring that the final products adhere to customer requirements and the quality benchmarks set by the company.
The individual will also be tasked with maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of production processes, while upholding safety and quality protocols throughout the facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties are essential to the role but are not exhaustive. They highlight the primary tasks expected of the individual.
Prioritize safety as the foremost concern at Alexandria Extrusion; foster and uphold a culture of safety by adhering to all safety programs and guidelines.
Operate CNC machines and execute all responsibilities in a safe and conscientious manner, in accordance with company policies.
Interpret and follow directives on manufacturing orders and blueprints to guarantee that components align with product and customer design specifications.
Conduct quality assessments using precision measurement tools to ensure all components meet established standards.
Utilize all measurement instruments and hand tools accurately as required.
Load programs into CMM machines.
Perform routine machine maintenance as necessary; manage chip removal, monitor coolant levels, etc.
Adhere to all company initiatives regarding 5S, quick-response-manufacturing (QRM), and safety.
Effectively communicate with supervisors, team members, and other shifts as needed to ensure the efficient and successful fulfillment of customer orders.
Achieve departmental and company performance and production objectives.
Diagnose machine errors and part discrepancies, proposing enhancements to elevate quality.
Operate manual machining equipment as required.
Participate in cross-training within the machine shop to acquire and develop skills on various machines and equipment.

Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Adept at recognizing safety issues
A highly driven self-starter
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Fundamental math skills
Capability to manage multiple tasks
Robust decision-making skills
Willingness to engage in ongoing training and education.
