Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc. As a vital member of our rehabilitation department, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patients of all ages by addressing communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Therapy Sessions: Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about communication and swallowing disorders, offering strategies for continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, compassionate, patient-focused approach with a strong desire to make a difference.
