Position Overview

The Assistant Manager of Warehouse Operations serves as the second-in-command, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment. This role involves leading a diverse team in a fast-paced environment, consistently striving to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise Delivery, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams, emphasizing a customer-first approach.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to maintain high service levels amid ongoing growth.
  3. Analyze performance metrics weekly with the General Manager, making adjustments to enhance service quality.
  4. Manage daily operations, particularly during peak hours, and delegate tasks effectively.
  5. Focus on creating a satisfying experience for customers at all times.
  6. Conduct team meetings to share vital company information and gather staff feedback.
  7. Mentor and develop team members for future leadership roles.
  8. Recruit and train new staff to meet the demands of our expanding business.
  9. Foster a positive and energetic workplace culture.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  11. Maintain equipment and fixtures in optimal condition, ensuring proper usage by staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight years of experience, with at least five years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Strong operational and retail management skills, with a focus on inventory and merchandising.
  • Excellent decision-making, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Flexibility to perform various roles as needed in a small business environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and push carts weighing up to 100 lbs unassisted.
