Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our team at Plantscape Inc. in Braddock, PA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, collaborating with the Creative Department Manager to produce holiday and elements product, and ensuring the organization of warehouse goods and product placement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company and industry safety standards.
  2. Participate in Plantscape's problem-solving process and contribute to the development of creative solutions.
  3. Assist the Creative Department Manager with checking in, unpacking, and organizing shipments, and work collaboratively with the Warehouse Assistant.
  4. Under the supervision of the Creative Department Manager, produce jobs from holiday or elements production tickets, pulling materials and following specifications to create and design product.
  5. Work as a creative worker in the elements or holiday warehouse, replicating existing designs and producing new ones.
  6. Maintain warehouse organization according to the warehouse map.
  7. Coordinate completed production in the warehouse in preparation for installation.
  8. Assist with holiday material return and organization to the warehouse, identifying items that require refurbishment or replacement.
  9. Serve as a designer and quality control on site during holiday installation, as required.
  10. Troubleshoot problems and coordinate materials for jobs for installation and takedown.
  11. Assist with monthly inventory in the design center.
  12. Collaborate with the production manager on holiday showroom displays and work with the creative team to develop visually appealing displays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years' related experience.
  • Design background preferred.
  • Knowledge of products, product placement, and product handling.
  • Ability to work with a variety of mediums and design knowledge preferred.
  • Collaborative, team-focused work ethic and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent prioritization, organization, and follow-up skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Reliable transportation and availability to work shifts as scheduled, often 6 am-2:30 pm, with occasional overtime during peak season.
  • Forklift operator experience preferred but not required, with a requirement to pass forklift training and certification.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to work independently and solve problems.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and ability to learn additional computer programs.
  • Driver's License and clean driving record, with experience driving a van or large truck preferred.
