Financial Analyst for Marketing Operations

Position Overview
The Marketing Financial Analyst plays a crucial role within the Controllership and Operations (CAO) team, focusing on the financial aspects of Marketing and the Customer Office.

This position is tasked with facilitating the month-end closing activities by collaborating with business partners, preparing journal entries, analyzing discrepancies, and conducting account reconciliations.

Additionally, the analyst will oversee specific projects such as marketing optimization and accounting system integration, while also contributing to the enhancement of financial and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assist in the month-end closing process, including the preparation and recording of journal entries.
- Analyze monthly financial outcomes and generate insightful variance reports.
- Lead monthly alignment meetings with marketing teams to ensure accurate and timely expense recognition.
- Provide insights for budgeting and forecasting, while identifying potential business risks and opportunities.
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations and investigate any variances as necessary.
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization.
- Drive process enhancements and deliver ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
- Prepare SOX testing for essential controls.

Qualifications
Basic:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related discipline, either through academic training or professional experience.
- Fundamental proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel).

Preferred:
- Experience applying GAAP principles in large corporate environments.
- Strong GAAP accounting knowledge with the ability to research emerging questions.
- Proven experience in identifying process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
