Job Summary

Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood counts, chemistry tests, and microbiology tests.
  • Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
  • Collect and process patient specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
  • Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited medical laboratory technician program.
  • One year of experience in a hospital laboratory setting preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Certified Laboratory Assistant (CLA) required.
