Job Summary

Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including qualitative and quantitative analyses, to diagnose and monitor patient conditions.
  • Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
  • Collect and process patient specimens, ensuring proper handling and storage to maintain test integrity.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide accurate and timely laboratory results, facilitating informed patient care decisions.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited medical laboratory technician program.
  • One year of work or training experience in a hospital laboratory preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Certified Laboratory Assistant (CLA) within one year of hire.
