Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Specialist to join our team at Equiliem. As an Infrastructure Systems Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust and scalable infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • Ensure alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Implement and manage configuration management processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across the IT environment.
  • Utilize automation tools to streamline configuration tasks.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize infrastructure components to enhance efficiency.
  • Proactively address capacity planning to accommodate future growth.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices for infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement measures that protect against vulnerabilities and potential threats.
  • Provide timely response and resolution to infrastructure-related incidents.
  • Work closely with support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, minimizing impact on business operations.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code principles to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure resources.
  • Leverage tools such as Terraform or Ansible for efficient deployment.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Ensure documentation is accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular testing to validate the effectiveness of recovery strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the infrastructure domain.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and technology enhancements.

Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience. One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with databases like SQL Server or SQL Azure. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python. Must be a Self Starter - Initiative to seek clarity and understanding (not wait for direction). Most have Excellent communication & collaboration skills. Nice to Have's: Experience with Snowflake and Databricks. Prior experience with the installation and maintenance of ESRI's ArcGIS software. Relevant Azure certifications are a plus.
