InCommunity is seeking a skilled and compassionate Program Instructor to join our Day Services team. As a Program Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing day support services to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct daily care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and recreational activities.
- Collaborate with the Program Leader and Managers to plan and execute daily activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for individuals.
- Accompany and transport individuals to participate in recreational and community outings, promoting socialization and community integration.
- Develop and implement training programs based on Individual Support Plans (ISPs), promoting goal achievement and skill development.
- Ensure the safe transportation of individuals, adhering to local traffic regulations and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Maintain accurate documentation of activities, medications, and ISP tracking, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to emergency preparedness and response procedures, prioritizing the safety and well-being of individuals.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, service coordinators, and InCommunity employees, promoting a culture of respect and professionalism.
Requirements
- High School diploma and six months of experience in human services or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Personal and volunteer experience considered for employment.
