Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support health and wellness initiatives within the pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
- Maintain necessary certifications and licenses as required by state laws.
- Assist pharmacists in their duties while respecting their professional judgment.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences through accurate reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
- Mentor and train new pharmacy technicians, providing day-to-day guidance and support.
- Encourage and oversee the training program for new technicians.
- Exemplify department standards and lead by example.
- Represent the pharmacy in store-wide meetings and huddles.
- Manage scheduling and station rotations for hourly staff based on labor forecasts.
- Conduct inventory management tasks, including order reconciliation and physical inventory preparation.
- Act as a safety expert, identifying areas for improvement and coaching staff accordingly.
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations, reporting any unsafe conditions.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, reporting any illegal activities.
- Administer immunizations as permitted by state law.
- Fulfill all essential job functions of a Senior Pharmacy Technician.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you should possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Certified Technician.
- Professionalism, dependability, and a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and exceptional customer service abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with peers and leadership.
- Completion of required national and/or state registration or certification.
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
