Role Summary:
The Business Development Specialist will play a crucial role in advancing the firm's strategic initiatives related to client proposals, RFP responses, and various business development projects. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Business Development, this position will collaborate closely with the marketing and business development team to achieve firm objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with attorneys and marketing team members to create tailored, client-focused responses to proposals and RFPs.
- Lead the process for firmwide RFP responses, including organizing kickoff meetings and facilitating strategic discussions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with various departments that contribute to proposal development, such as Revenue Management and the Office of General Counsel.
- Draft compelling executive summaries and customized proposal content.
- Ensure compliance with proposal requirements and uphold the firm’s standards.
- Update and maintain the firm's experience database to support future proposals and marketing efforts.
- Work with the marketing intelligence team to conduct research and analysis relevant to proposals.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices.
- Act as a resource and mentor to colleagues, demonstrating knowledge of departmental protocols.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external clients.
- Engage in additional projects as assigned.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong prioritization and time management capabilities.

- A minimum of five years of experience in marketing and business development within a law firm or professional services environment, with demonstrated success in responding to proposals and RFPs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
