Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Financial Services Manager to join our team at Inception Fertility Corporate Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Financial Services Department, providing direction and support to leadership, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
    • Provide day-to-day oversight of financial services staff, focusing on delivering an exceptional patient experience.
    • Supervise and develop staff to foster a culture of comradery and respect for patients and personnel.
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine and complex patient services issues in a timely manner.
  • Financial Management
    • Deliver personalized patient experiences over the phone using professional etiquette.
    • Ensure optimal operational flow and administrative accuracy.
    • Establish and maintain long-term patient relationships.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Develop, implement, and manage Financial Services processes related to eligibility and verification of benefits, pre-authorization of services.
    • Provide direct support to leads and set expectations regarding Financial Services verification and pre-authorization standards.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders in New Patient Admissions to develop and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Support the VP of Operations in developing verification and pre-authorization strategies to enhance operational improvement and patient experience.
    • Assist the VP of Operations with education, training, hiring, evaluating, and counseling of verification and pre-authorization departments.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with leadership philosophy, policies, and applicable laws.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to mid-level and junior employees.
  • Offer feedback targeted at individual development.
  • Fulfill staffing needs and workforce planning.
  • Team development by facilitating positive relationships and providing resources, support, and encouragement for others to be successful in their role and to grow professionally.
  • Setting the strategic direction to mature function.
  • Liaison between staff and executive committee.
  • Interviewing and providing final decision making on hiring needs.
  • Rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance and benefits verification or pre-authorization of treatment and patient financial counseling is required.
