Job Summary

The Housekeeping Associate plays a vital role in ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests. This position involves responding promptly to requests from guests and collaborating with various departments. Responsibilities include delivering guest requests, setting up furniture in guest rooms, and maintaining cleanliness in service areas. The role also requires the removal of items from hallways, including trash and soiled linens, ensuring that service closets are stocked with necessary supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to guests and team members in a courteous manner.
  • Adhere to safety standards and operational regulations to promote efficient hotel management.
  • Acquire knowledge of hotel services and facilities to effectively address guest inquiries.
  • Maintain and manage tools and equipment responsibly.
  • Assist in the duties of Room Attendant, Turndown Attendant, and Linen Runner as needed.
  • Complete daily assignments and report to the office coordinator.
  • Ensure service closets are adequately stocked with supplies and linens.
  • Collect trash and dirty linens from guest floors for laundry processing.
  • Fulfill guest requests in a timely manner, adhering to brand standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness in common areas, including balconies, stairwells, and elevators.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma; experience in a large hotel setting is preferred.

Skills and Competencies
  • Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy in task execution.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical capability to lift, pull, and push items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Willingness to stand, walk, reach, and bend throughout the shift.
