Job Title: Behavior Technician

Florida Institute of Technology is seeking a highly skilled Behavior Technician to join our team at The Scott Center for Autism Treatment. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in behavior analysis and a passion for working with individuals with autism.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the supervisor (BCBA). This will involve working directly with clients and trainees, providing support and training to graduate and undergraduate interns and practicum students, and conducting assessments and evaluations as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the supervisor (BCBA)
  • Work directly with clients and trainees, providing support and training as needed
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the BCBA to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide training and support to graduate and undergraduate interns and practicum students
  • Assist with billing and Electronic Health Records (EHR) reconciliations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Successfully complete a criminal background registry check at the time of application
  • Complete a 40-hr training program provided by the agency
  • Pass the RBT exam delivered through the BACB
  • Experience working with young children and children with developmental disabilities, including autism, is preferred
