Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer II

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer II to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in our Echocardiography Lab. As a key member of our team, you will perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms, to assist physicians in complex procedures and contribute to the maintenance and accreditation of the lab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for procedures, obtaining relevant clinical history and adapting imaging techniques to ensure comprehensive and accurate echocardiograms.
  • Perform a range of cardiac ultrasound procedures, making necessary measurements for interpretation and ensuring high-quality results.
  • Identify and define cardiac abnormalities, extending the scope of examination as needed to correlate with other diagnostic tests.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms and operating rooms, performing echocardiography studies to aid in complex procedures.
  • Record statistics and maintain the Echocardiography Lab, ensuring equipment is functional and reporting any malfunctions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of experience required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardio Credentialing International (CCI) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required at the time of hire.
