The Cardiac Sonographer II performs advanced cardiac ultrasound services and procedures for adult patients, utilizing a variety of equipment and techniques to obtain accurate, high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for procedures and obtain clinical history to adapt imaging techniques for comprehensive and diagnostic echocardiograms.
- Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, making necessary measurements for accurate results.
- Identify and define cardiac abnormalities, extending the scope of the examination as needed.
- Assist physicians in procedure rooms and operating rooms with echocardiograph studies to aid in complex procedures.
- Record statistics and perform daily maintenance of the Echocardiography Lab and its equipment.
- Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
