Overview:

The Eligibility Specialist plays a crucial role in managing application processes and the upkeep of supportive services. This position is essential in ensuring that eligibility determinations are conducted in accordance with established regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to the department's Employment Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve proficiency in the Employment Services regulations, policies, and procedures of CITC.
  • Evaluate, assess, and provide appropriate referrals to address participant needs.
  • Collect necessary documentation for service applications.
  • Conduct interviews to ascertain participant eligibility for Employment and Education services.
  • Communicate eligibility statuses accurately and effectively.
  • Disburse appropriate supportive services to qualified participants.
  • Assist with bulk purchasing and system data maintenance.
  • Collaborate effectively within a cohesive team environment.
  • Engage actively in meetings and training sessions.
  • Uphold confidentiality in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two (2) years of relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with Alaska Native and American Indian cultures
  • Valid Alaska Driver's license
