Job Summary:The Physician Assistant will be responsible for conducting physical assessments, performing physical examinations, and ensuring that physician medication orders are being followed. You will also provide patient and staff education on medication maintenance, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintain and expand your knowledge base in accordance with the requirements necessary to maintain professional certification as a Physician Assistant.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of patients and perform physical examinations as needed.
- Ensure that physician medication orders are being followed and refer patients to appropriate physicians as necessary.
- Provide patient and staff education on medication maintenance and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain and expand your knowledge base in accordance with the requirements necessary to maintain professional certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising physician.
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant program from an accredited college or university.
- Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment clinic is preferred.
- No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment.
- Board certified Physician Assistant.
- Licensed Physician Assistant able to practice in the state where the clinic operates.
- DEA license.
