Medical Equipment Specialist

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a highly skilled Intake Specialist to join our team. As an Intake Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately and efficiently enter referrals into our system, meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Communicate with referral sources, physicians, and associated staff to ensure documentation is routed to the appropriate physician for signature and completion.
- Work with local branch leadership to ensure the provision of appropriate inventory and services.
- Assist with other regional team functions as necessary.
- Communicate with patients regarding their financial responsibility, collect payment, and document in the patient record accordingly.
- Follow company philosophies and procedures to ensure the appropriate shipping method is utilized for delivery of service.
- Answer phone calls in a timely manner and assist callers.
- High School Diploma
- One year of work-related experience in healthcare administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center, or management, regardless of industry.
- Exact job experience is considered any of the above tasks in a Medicare-certified HME, IV, or HH environment that routinely bills insurance.
