Licensed Psychiatric Technician

Amergis is seeking a skilled Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and implement therapeutic procedures, techniques, treatments, or medications under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Psychiatrist/MD.
• Coordinate patient care, making clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner.
• Promote good interpersonal relationships with patients, family members, hospital healthcare co-workers, physicians, and facility personnel.
• Provide basic level general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled voluntary, involuntary, or judicially committed clients.
• Work with other disciplines as part of the treatment team to provide an overall treatment program for the client.
Requirements:
• Current Licensed Psychiatric Technician license for the state in which the technician practices (LPT only).
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong spoken, written, listening, and nonverbal communication skills.
• One year of psychiatric experience in a similar setting within the last three years preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
