Licensed Psychiatric Technician

**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a skilled Psychiatric Nursing Care Provider to join our team in California. As a Licensed Psychiatric Technician, you will be responsible for providing general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled patients/youth.
**Responsibilities:**
- Give a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled patients/youth.
- Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitoring of patients/youth with signs and symptoms of mental illness.
- Work with other disciplines as part of the Treatment Team in the development of treatment plans and objectives from assessments in providing an overall treatment program for patient/youth.
- Assist in the development of group and individual therapy regimens.
- Act as a provider of group therapy to patients/youth.
- Provide liaison activities with custody personnel in the management of mental or developmentally disabled patient/youth.
- Observe patients'/youths' physical condition and behavior, and report significant changes.
- Prepare and coordinate clinical appointment dates and times, and assist in having patients/youth present at their clinical appointments.
- Assist in first responder duties, such as giving Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and first aid as needed.
- Follow completely and accurately all documentation procedures as required by the CDCR/CCHCS.
- Help to create a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for patient/youth.
**Requirements:**
- 12 continuous months of experience within the last 3 years performing services similar in scope to those defined herein in a public or private institution.
- Possess and maintain a current and valid license issued by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician to perform services in the State of California.
- Proficient in the English language and able to communicate effectively with the CDCR/CCHCS.
- Able to speak, understand oral and written communication, and write effectively in the English language.
**Salary Range:**
$48 - $56/HR
