Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall manufacturing performance, ensuring meeting of production targets, quality standards, delivery deadlines, and safety/business compliance.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the entire manufacturing operation, aligning production with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee and guide the managers of each specialized manufacturing area (CNC, Build, Metal, Finish), ensuring efficient workflow, resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Direct effective cross-functional collaboration between departments, prioritizing production schedules, resolving workflow bottlenecks, and maintaining a dynamic working environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering, project management, and purchasing teams.
  • Work with management to implement continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to ensure capacity planning and resource allocation meet client deadlines.
  • Assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on the success of the manufacturing operation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role within a custom manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing production processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams.
  • Knowledge in each of our four key manufacturing areas, with expertise in wood fabrication.
  • CNC: Strong understanding of CNC programming, machine operation, and material selection.
  • Building: Expertise in woodworking and cabinetry techniques, assembly processes, and quality control procedures.
  • Metalworking: understanding of welding, cutting, forming, and finishing of metal components.
  • Finishing: knowledge of surface preparation, painting, powder coating, and other finishing techniques.
  • Tech-savviness and proficiency in production planning methodologies and scheduling software.
