Position: Project Manager – Payer Implementation Services

Role Summary: As a Project Manager within our Implementation Services division, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of implementation projects tailored for payer-facing solutions. This position demands proactive management of projects and implementations, exceptional communication skills, meticulous documentation practices in Confluence, and effective collaboration with both internal and external development teams to guarantee successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently oversee implementation projects of varying scales and manage change requests.
  • Employ a structured ten-step methodology to ensure successful project implementation, which includes project initiation, stakeholder engagement, progress tracking, documentation oversight, and deployment management.
  • Maintain updates in Confluence and Salesforce, ensuring all project documentation is current and easily accessible.
  • Work closely with development teams to synchronize project goals and timelines.
  • Create and uphold detailed project plans, meeting records, action items, and other project-related documentation, including scope analysis, validation of business requirements, testing plans, estimate acquisition, development commitments, sign-off processes, deployment supervision, and lessons learned.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to formulate business specifications and secure necessary approvals.
  • Facilitate user training sessions as needed.
  • Manage project timelines and cultivate strong client relationships through consistent communication and updates.
  • Deliver clear and timely verbal and written communications to all stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant technical experience in Project or Program Management within the medical billing, clearinghouse, or bill review sectors.
  • Proficiency in EDI transactions (X12 and other formats).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
  • Experience in requirements gathering and testing.
  • Extensive skills in project planning and prioritization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project and Visio.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Experience interfacing with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of X12, proprietary, and banking transaction sets.
  • Background in Property and Casualty, Healthcare, medical billing/remittance, and payment processing.

Desired Competencies:

  • Strategic and innovative thinking capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile, SCRUM, or SDLC methodologies.
  • PMP Certification is advantageous.
  • Exposure to electronic payment solutions.
  • Experience in writing and executing SQL queries.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Senior Director of Payer Implementation Services.
