Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team in Los Angeles. As a key member of our buildings practice, you will have the opportunity to design innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients.

The Opportunity
  • Lead mechanical engineering designs and provide multi-disciplinary design leadership on projects in Healthcare, Aviation, and/or Science and Industry.
  • Coordinate with multiple disciplines and work in conjunction with project managers to help complete work.
  • Assist, supervise, or mentor team members.
  • Write reports for internal and external purposes based on findings.
  • Present technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in local Professional Associations.
  • Responsible for quality standards, commercial metrics, and client relations for projects.
  • Teach teams to connect their solutions to bigger picture issues.
  • Deliver timely feedback and recognition to others.
The Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
  • 8 or more years of professional experience designing building HVAC systems, including airside and hydronic system components.
  • Experience with 3D BIM/CAD software such as AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP.
  • Engineering analysis and energy modeling experience, including whole building energy analysis, façade thermal analysis, and airflow modeling.
  • The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work, and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working.
  • Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels.
Preferred Skills
  • Professional Engineering License in the US preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation or WELL Certification.

The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is $125,000 to $155,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles will differ.
