Join Our Team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team in Los Angeles. As a key member of our buildings practice, you will have the opportunity to design innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead mechanical engineering designs and provide multi-disciplinary design leadership on projects in Healthcare, Aviation, and/or Science and Industry. You will work closely with project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects and collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead mechanical engineering designs and provide multi-disciplinary design leadership on projects
  • Coordinate with multiple disciplines and work in conjunction with project managers to complete work
  • Assist, supervise, or mentor team members
  • Write reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
  • Present technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences
  • Participate in local Professional Associations
  • Responsible for quality standards, commercial metrics, and client relations for projects
  • Teach teams to connect their solutions to bigger picture issues
  • Deliver timely feedback and recognition to others
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
  • 8 or more years of professional experience designing building HVAC systems, including airside and hydronic system components
  • Experience with 3D BIM/CAD software such as AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP
  • Engineering analysis and energy modeling experience, including whole building energy analysis, façade thermal analysis, and airflow modeling
  • The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work, and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
  • Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
Preferred Skills
  • Professional Engineering License in the US preferred
  • LEED Accreditation or WELL Certification
