Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to provide psychosocial services at our Waltham Satellite of Boston Children's Hospital.

About the Role

This 40-hour position will involve providing a range of clinical social work services and case management to patients across various medical specialties. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychosocial screening and assessment for patients
  • Counsel patients and their families on mental health issues and coping strategies
  • Facilitate use of hospital and community services
  • Act as a resource for multidisciplinary teams, providing information and referrals as needed
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • LICSW licensure in the state of Massachusetts
  • Experience working in a medical environment, particularly with child protection issues
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
