Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and service burglar alarms, fire alarms, camera systems, access control, and intercom systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality installations and service.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a State of Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) or have the ability to obtain it.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to adhere to Illinois Alarm's installation and employment policies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the low-voltage industry.
  • Proven expertise in installing and servicing burglar alarms, fire alarms, and camera systems.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code, NFPA 72 & 101, and International Building Code.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with a Volt O Meter.
  • Ability to drive in all-weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift packages and equipment boxes up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform on-call service (after hours, weekends, and holidays).
  • NICET Level 1 certification preferred, with the ability to obtain it within 18 months of hire.
