Role Summary

We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to play a critical role in defining and delivering exceptional end-customer experiences for our vehicle software. As a key member of our Vehicle Software team, you will partner closely with software engineering and design partners to identify key outcomes and drive the successful delivery of high-quality customer experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the software product strategy and roadmap for your assigned area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document detailed product requirements, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals and user needs.
  • Prioritize features and functionality based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact.
  • Lead the product development process, including coordinating with software engineers, designers, and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality software releases.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform product decisions and validate product concepts.
  • Track and analyze key product metrics, user feedback, and performance data to measure the success of product initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of strong software product management experience, ideally with a consumer product.
  • Understanding of AI and machine learning trends, and how they can apply to the application layer product experience while creating automation for internal teams.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of vehicle software systems, automotive technologies, and industry trends.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and actionable requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build consensus.
  • Passion for technology, electric vehicles, and the automotive industry.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $121,500-$165,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary

Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental, and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
