Job Title: Assistant Receiving Manager

At Restaurant Depot, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Receiving Manager to join our team. As a key member of our receiving department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all incoming and outgoing shipments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the accuracy of item descriptions and counts for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Verify the accuracy of all UPC numbers for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all Manifest/Bill of Lading documents.
  • Maintain the IBT Seal Log for both incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Run the Order Pool to ensure timely purchase orders.
  • Record and file all incoming and outgoing purchase orders.
  • Ensure GRB and AVs are current and accurate.
  • Ensure the Receiving CRT is entering all receivings on a daily basis.
  • File all driver logs.
  • Ensure the Receiving CRT Clerk has all deliveries properly scheduled.
  • Perform monthly self-audits and address action items.
  • Maintain open communication with the Logistics Department.
  • Unload, verify, record, and label all cross-dock pickups.
  • Ensure all safety policies are being adhered to in the department.
  • Ensure all HACCP guidelines are in place and according to plan.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in customer service or a related field.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
Work Environment:

This role requires constant exposure to outside temperatures, and the dock gates are often open, allowing outside temperatures to affect the temperature in the Receiving Department. You will also be working with equipment in motion, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scooters.
